Last Meal Final
We are getting
more information that "Tha Last Meal Retail" is the final version. Supposedly
the album is already out in Germany and features all the song's that the
retail version featured and it features no more. This is a big dissappointment,
because we told you earlier that it was not final as did so many more sites.
So I guess it is safe to say the album is final and that it will be out
next Tuesday the 19th. Here is the tracklisting:

N.W.A. Up In
The Air
We have some
big news for you guys today. Snoop and Dr. Dre have publically talked about
their N.W.A. project and have decided that it really isnt the right time
to be working on it. Whether or not the project will even be completed
is up in the air. Dr. Dre had this to say about the project:
"We got a couple
things down, nothing that I'm happy with, so they don't mean anything...The
status of N.W.A right now remains in limbo, because everybody that's supposed
to be a part of this record has their own careers, and they're out doing
their things. Cube is working on a big special-effect movie, Snoop has
a record coming out and is gonna promote that, and I'm working with my
new artists, trying to do my thing. I have no idea when that record's gonna
happen, or if it's gonna happen."

Doggystyle Records
News
We have big news
for you all about Doggystyle Records. Yesterday Snoop was down in San Francisco
to talk on the local radio station "KMEL" and he reported some news about
his label Doggystyle Records. Now this news has just been posted on message
boards, but a lot of people have heard the news. Supposedly Snoop said
that Daz, Kurupt, Bad Azz, and The Lady Of Rage are going to be new members
to the label. This news is huge if it stands to its name. With the added
members, its no doubt that Doggystyle Records will be the biggest Westcoast
Label. I will try to see if I can find an official postage of the news
so I can confirm this, but for now its just gossip. TVT
Talks About Doggy's Angels Lawsuit
TVT has responded
to the Lawsuit brought up to them by Colombia Records for the cover they
used on the "Baby If You're Ready" single. Supposedly it takes aways the
good image "Charlie's Angels" brings to the table. TVT had this to say
about the lawsuit:
"We feel the name
and imagery of Doggy's Angels clearly pokes fun at a classic of American
pop culture but does not confuse the public with the real thing. The girls
in the group are as far away from Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith as can
be. In the end, Doggy's Angels will succeed based on their music and their
music alone." 12/7/00
Another Knockdown
For Deathrow
This was first
posted at our message board but here is the news anyway:
Well Deathrow
has been nailed with another low blow, but its not like they didnt deserve
it. On Tuesday the Rap label was smacked with a 4.3 million dollar lawsuit.
Former co-founder, Suge Knight was hit with 1 million of the sum. The jury
found that the former artits were defrauded by the label and by the management.
We all know about their Snoop issues, but No Limit has not smacked them
with another suit. Time will tell to see why not. More
Snoop Pics Have Been Added
I just added
some more pics to the photo albums, so you all can peep the new Snoop Dogg
pics. Some of them come from a flipbook MTV had on their site, others are
simply pictures from the web, so you all can peep them at our photos
page I have recieved complaints from people who cant see the pictures,
so I went to check and they all work but I believe if you have internet
explorer your browser will show an "X" instead of the picture. You can
have your browser show them by right clicking on the broken link and then
scrolling down to "show picture." Im trying to figure out why it does that,
so hopefully it should work for all of you. Thanks for your patience. 12/6/00
Deathrow Debuts
Head Doctor Video
Deathrow is at
it again. Last week when you went to their site you came across "The Snoop
Dogg Challenge" but now you come across the premiere of Deathrow's Head
Doctor video. The video is not that good. Deathrow cut out some scenes
from an unreleased Snoop movie and just played the song over the video.
It really is nothing special. Deathrow's premiere comes only a day after
Snoop premieres his first single, "Snoop Dogg." Lets see what they will
do next. We linked the video below:

On Promotional Tour
Snoop has headed
off again to take over the nation. Snoop has decided to take off on a small
promotional tour that will hit only the big cities that the United States
offers. He started his tour yesterday in Seattle WA and will continue to
make stops in San Diego, New York and Canada. I could not find a specific
calendar of his stops for everyone to check out but you can check Ticketmaster
for some dates on their website. I do know though that Snoop will be in
San Diego the 9th and New York the 13th. Since he is promoting his new
album, I'm guessing he will bring some of his Doggystyle artists along
too. He will also play song's from his upcoming album. 12/5/00
Snoop Speaks
Well MTV aired
the news about Deathrow putting Tha Last Meal for free download and they
also have a clip of him speaking on Deathrow. This interview actually happend
a while ago so what Snoop says happend before the release of Tha Last Meal
retail, but what he say's is some deep stuff. I have the link below.
Snoop
Speaks
Purple and Wassup
Wassup yall?
Today me and my dogg Lil Jermaine were talking about Tha Last Meal. We
both are a little upset with what came out last week. We dont feel the
album like we thought we would. But with the hopes of more songs, we have
raised our spirits. We both feel the Xzibit LP. Im sorry but that album
really brings it. Some song's arent that tight but the ones that are tight,
are so incredible. No doubt that Snoop has some tight song's on his album
but they dont stick with you. Anyway I have uploaded the full song of Purple
(Radio Edit) because some people wanted to hear the full version. Remember
this song is rumored to be on Tha Last Meal. It's super tight. I love the
beginning of the song. It really is dope. Now when I was talking to Lil
Jermaine, we started talking about some song's that came out during the
summer. Now when the Last Meal was supposed to come out on July 4th, we
started finding more song's that were rumored to be on the album. One of
those song's was "Wassup." At first people thought this song was supposed
to be on Tha Last Meal, but now people are saying it will appear on the
second Eastsidaz album due out sometime next year. There was another song
called "Smokin Dat Dust" which was also dope. This song came out with everyone
thinking that it would appear on Tha Eastsidaz album too. When you look
back though, some of the song's that were on the Promo have appeared on
other albums like "Pleezbaleevit" and "Personal Business" so even if these
song's have been rumored to appear on Tha Eastsidaz album, maybe they might
appear on Tha Last Meal. Although we are trying to come up with more theories,
this theory may stretch the truth. I doubt that Wassup will appear on the
album, but the release of the song happend at the right time to get people
to believe it would be a Last Meal track. Well I have uploaded "Wassup"
for you all, but dont get to excited because I myself dont believe it will
be on the album. Its tight though and even if it doesnt appear on the album,
it should get its light of day. You can listen to Purple and Wassup below.

Will This Song
Be On The Last Meal?
Well during the
summer "The Source" website put up some video clips of Snoop working on
his Last Meal album and they had two song's featured in those clips and
one of those song's was "Ready 2 Ride" with Eve and the other one has not
been heard yet. I do not have a title on this song. It did not show up
on the retail version of The Last Meal. Will it show up on the final cut?
Untitled
Track Snoop Premieres
"Snoop Dogg" Video
Well no current
rapper now can bring the funk like Snoop Dogg does. MTV premiered Snoop's
new video "Snoop Dogg" today during their regular program DFX. The video
is really funny. Its nothing like his old videos from Doggystyle and Doggfather.
This video holds its own in Snoop's history book. The video starts out
with Big Jefree (A Snoop character he created in his movies) and he is
talkin to Snoop and a crip member (also played by Snoop). They are talking
in what I will call Snoopebonics. They say words like "Dizzle, Frizzle,
Sprizzle, Hizzle, and Nizzle." Of course the viewers have no idea what
is going on but then the music starts and Snoop takes over. During the
song itself Snoop finds comfort in a big shoe, where the party is held.
Dr. Dre and Timbaland make appearances at the party and sing the hook "Snoooop
Doggggggg." Now while at the party Snoop hops on some roller skates, smokes
some heavy chronic and gets with the ladies. In the end an even bigger
Snoop puts his foot in the shoe and takes off. Then the video ends with
Snoop replying to Timbaland. "Fo Shizzle" Xzibit
Will Become A Household Name
Well Xzibit's
Restless LP is due out next Tuesday and it will be one of the dopest albums
of the year. Dr. Dre and Mel Man give Xzibit exactly what he need's to
come out strong. This album pumps some very strong beats. In fact it pumps
more beats than the Last Meal retail does. It is produced very well and
Xzibit produces some of his best product here. When you listen to the album
you will enjoy it very much. The album in my mind brings a lot of upbeat
song's to the table that the Last Meal just doesnt, but it shouldnt come
to comparing both albums. Snoop and Xzibit share some of the best talent.
Snoop got out into the game with Dre and Xzibit came in with the Alkoholiks.
Now that Xzibit and Dre are hooking up, this will be his best grossing
album. We have one of the best song's for you all below. Its called Get
Your Walk On and I have been bumping it all day. Id like to thank Jedi_Nor
for the hook up.
Get
Your Walk On (Produced by Mel Man and Battlecat) 12/3/00
Its Not Official!
We have some
huge news for you all. The retail version of Tha Last Meal is definetly
not official. We got some tight news today from our big homie, Lil Jermaine
of Westcoast2k
He has told me that there will be a 213 song on the album and theres no
question about it. I have no idea where he got the information from, but
Jermaine has some of the tightest connections when it comes to Westcoast
related news. So 213 will make an appearance on the album. Its also becoming
pretty clear around here that "No Back Trackin" will make the final cut.
As we said before there are two version's of the retail version out and
the one that brought most attention has the song's "No Back Trackin" and
"Purple" on it. It does not have the 213 song but we are almost positive
it will appear on the final cut. This is huge news. Just dont get to excited,
we have no official report about this, nor have we heard it from anyone
else. Head on over to the Message Boards and tell us what you think about
this. Thanks Jermaine, you just made my day. I hope your right. 12/2/00
Snoop and Doggy's
Angels Face A Lawsuit
Well it has only
been two weeks since the release of Doggys Angels and already they have
stirred up some trouble. Colombia Pictures has filed a lawsuit against
TVT/Doggystyle Records for the use of the picture on the "Baby If You're
Ready" single. Colombia says that the cover too closely resembles the old
and new pictures of the Charlie's Angles series and Movie. They also said
that people will mix up the covers of the Charlie's Angels soundtrack with
that of the "Baby If You're Ready" cover. One last thing that they covered
was the fact that they believe that the video for "Baby If You're Ready"
is too violent and takes away the good qualities of Charlie's Angels. TVT
didn't immediatley return any comments about the issue. "Snoop
Dogg" Video Is Set And Ready To Launch
Snoop Dogg has
just finished his first music video, "Snoop Dogg" from Tha Last Meal. The
song is one of the tight song's on Tha Last Meal and is produced by Timbaland.
MTV, BET and The BOX are premiering the video next week. We have the days
for you below. Id like to thank Lil Jermaine from Westcoast
2k for the news.

Deathrow Backs
Down and Denies It.
If you have been
to the Deathrow Site latley or have been here you will know that Deathrow
put The Last Meal up for free download. Of course we all know they are
just trying to get Priority to do something to make them look bad but it
never happend. Today however when you go to their site and click on the
link to get Tha Last Meal, you will get an error message saying the server
is too busy. For most visitors they will probably believe the message thinking
the server is really too busy, but in reality there is no real error message
appearing because of a server problem. In fact Deathrow has created a page
that will show an error to give visitors the idea that it really is a server
problem. How do I know this? Whenever you put your pointer over a link,
your browser will tell you where that link is going to go on the bottom
of the browser. Before the error appeared, the message link read:
but now it reads
http://www.deathrowrecords2000.com/error.html
In fact at the
Deathrow Message Board people have noticed the change in the extension.
You can clearly see that the "error.html" in the second url is a file that
Deathrow has created. Another reason people are noticing the difference
is if there are server problems how come the page comes up so quick. We
have all been to sites that have server problems and they take forever
to load and then eventually you will recieve a "Page Not Found" message
from your browser. In Deathrow's case the page comes up in an instant and
the error is shown. Like I said before, people have noticed the difference
in the two urls and have come forth to tell the people whats up, but Deathrow
simply replies to the posts by stating:
"The Link Is Down
Due To Excessive Traffic To The MP3's"
So people are
clearing seeing that Deathrow has backed out. Why? Well a few days ago
the news hit the major news sources and maybe instead of taking criticism
they decided to shadow their weakness with a weak error message. If they
really wanted to make it seem like there was an error they shouldnt have
made the extension "error.html" instead they should have created the same
extension as it was before but instead change the pages contents to make
is look like an error. I know it may sound stupid but its clear Deathrow
is denying all this.
I would just like

Promo On Another Album
Look's like Snoop
is just giving all his promo songs to his companions. Snoop has taken the
song "Once More For Yall" from his Last Meal promo and given it to his
homie Bad Azz. The song will appear on Bad Azz's new album "Personal Business"
which is due out January 16th. Bad Azz has spiced the song up a little
bit to give it more flavor and in my case I think he has done a good job
with it. The song now features Bad Azz too and is called "Money 2 Fold."
Bad Azz will appear on Tha Last Meal. He and Snoop hook up on a track called
Im A Gangsta. You can listen to "Money 2 Fold" Below:

No Back Trackin!
I have another
song for you all to listen to! But this time I want you all to do us a
favor. The song is called No Back Trackin and it has been out since this
summer and it is one of the best songs Snoop has ever created. When you
listen to the song, listen close. Tell us what you think about the song
at the message board. The reason we are asking this of you is because we
have heard from a good source that the retail release of The Last Meal
is the official release. Our source told us they were talking to an associate
from Priority who said that it was the official release. The song No Back
Trackin is not on the retail version and we would like all are viewers
to listen to the song and then give us your opinions. The song is not a
party song, its not a slow song, its a song talking about Snoop's career
as a rapper and thats why it is such an important song. Please listen to
the song and then reply to the message below. We gave you a little insight
of the song's verses below too. We will try to get priority to see what
you all have to say, and maybe just maybe we can make a difference. Do
this for Snoop and for his fans.
Verse 1 - Snoop
raps about his life from 1992 to 1995
Verse 2 - Snoop
raps about his life from 1996 to 2000
Verse 3 - Snoop
raps about his current status
Verse 4 - Snoop

Put Snoop Dogg On Your
Desktop!!
So you have this
plain little wallpaper on your computer screen and you want to spice it
up? I got the perfect way. Put Snoop Dogg on your screen. For promotional
purposes, Priority Records has created a little Snoop Dogg player that
will play some tracks off his new Last Meal Album and will also let you
do other cool things with it. You can smoke blunts with Snoop Dogg or change
his hat's. You can have him punch your computer screen or better yet you
can have him jump around on your computer screen. Its pretty cool too.
If your ever lonely just get Snoop on the screen and he will sing some
funky tunes for you. So you want to know where to get it? Go to the Priority
Records site and you can download it there. Doggy's
Angels Debut at #138
Well things just
having been looking good for Snoop these last few days. First Deathrow
hassles him and now he realizes that Doggy's Angels has debut at #138 on
the billboard charts. This is not a very good start for the female rap
group. Tha Eastsidaz debut at #8 back in Febuary when they debut. Now it
will just take time to see if the Angels will start to rise up the charts
or start falling. 11/29/00
Deathrow Keeps
Stepping On Snoop And Also Goes After Dre!
The news about
Deathrow's actions on Snoop's Last Meal has hit the whole nation. Yesterday
we gave you the exclusive news as did other sites but today some of the
big internet news sites have also come out with the news. There is still
no official tracklisting from the album but the nineteen tracks Deathrow
put on their site will probably appear on The Last Meal. As we said earlier,
Deathrow has put up the Deathrow Challenge for fans to listen to. Well
it seems to be hurting themselves a lot as their October release Dead Man
Walking has fallen to the #128th spot on the charts. The album debut at
#24 but since has just declined in sales. I guess after hearing the album
on their site fans decided it wasnt worth the money. Not only has Deathrow
stepped on Snoop but they have also gone after Dr Dre as well. One of Deathrow's
Artists, CJ Mac has apparently spoken about his song "Fuck Dre." He is
mad because he says Dr. Dre hasnt helped out enough West Coast acts succeed.
So basically he is begging Dre to produce his music because all of his
producers make whack music. Apparently he had some tissues with him as
he was whiping the tears from his eyes. Mac had this to say about Dr. Dre:
" There's been
a 15-year monopoly around here." "If you're not part of the boy's club
and real cooperative, then you've got problems." "These guys misuse the
power that they have."
CJ Mac is working
on a solo album that is expected to come out next year. Master
P and Snoop Dogg - Poppin Them Collars
Master P's new
album Ghetto Postage was released yesterday to the world and one of the
song's on the album features Snoop Dogg. I decided to let you all in on
the little peice of music they created. The song is called Poppin
Them Collars and it was originally intended to appear on Snoop's Last
Meal album but after a few delays and more time on his own album, Snoop
decided to give this one to Master P. The original version of the song
which is called Pop Ya Collar features Snoop Dogg and George Clinton, but
the version on Ghetto Postage Features Master P. Most Snoop fans like the
original version more than the Ghetto Postage version but youll have to
hear both to decide. Both song's have the same beat only one has Master
P and the other doesnt. So I hope you all enjoy the track and tell us what
you think about the song. More
Questions And Answers About The Last Meal.
There are only
twenty days until the release of Snoop's Last Meal album and after a lot
of controversy over the retail release of his album, people are starting
to become a little more weary over the album. Some people have come forth
to say that there is a second version of the retail release which features
the song's "No Back Trackin" and "Purple." Also the other version does
not include the song's "Pump Your Brakes" and "Trust No One." Instead it
features the song "Back Up Ho" which features Eastsidaz member, Goldie
Loc. The other version also features twenty-one tracks instead of nineteen.
There are still many questions in the air too. One the advertisments for
the album itself said that 213 would show up on the album. Well on the
retail release there is no such song with 213. Warren G isnt even on the
album. Nate Dogg makes a few appearances though. Also on the same advertisment
they said Snoop's new singing group Snoopadelic was going to be on the
album, but there is no song with them on it. Some of the members appear
like Butch Cassidy and Nate Dogg and Kokane but there is not one song with
all of them singing. So hold on tight folks because theres only two weeks
and six days till its release. It's one close race. 11/28/00
Deathrow Throw's
Up The White Flag!
Well Well Well.
Looks like Deathrow is back at it again. As we told you all yesterday,
The Retail Version of Tha Last Meal was released to the internet. It has
recieved a huge reaction from all Snoop Dogg fans. It will be one great
album to have. So many people know it will be great and so does Snoop's
former label Deathrow. To celebrate the coming of Snoop's new album they
have decided to put up a Snoop Dogg challenge for all fans. All visitors
to the site can either listen to The Last Meal or Dead Man Walkin. Then
they can choose which album is better. They have also decided to put The
Last Meal up in mp3 format and Dead Man Walkin in real audio format. Are
they looking for a lawsuit? Who know's what they are up to. All they want
to do is cause controversy. Snoop Dogg has not responded and who knows
if he even knows. What it all comes down to is simple. "Deathrow Is Bitches!"
Webmasters Opinion:
I thought it
was cool that they would put The Last Meal up in mp3. For one reason no
one wants Dead Man Walkin in mp3 cause everyone know's that it isnt real
Snoop. I also find it funny that they are trying to make a come back with
their artists now. They came out with an album a while ago called "Too
Gangsta For Radio" and everyone knows it should have been called "Too Whack
To Be Gangstas." That album sold 11,000 records in two weeks. The city
I live in has more people than that. They also diss Snoop on that album
but they know the only way they can make money is to try and put out an
album that will feature his old music. The album debut at #24. Well Good
Job but there's a 23 spot difference from your last Snoop album. OUCH!
So in reality they just want to recieve more hits to their whack site so
they put the last meal up. Well I hope Yall enjoy what you did. The truth
hurts doesnt it. Last
Meal Retail Might Not Be The Final Cut
A lot of people
are starting to think that the retail version of The Last Meal might not
be the official cut. For a few reasons there are some questions in the
air like "Where Is The Song No Back Trackin?" The song was released on
LA Radio and is truly one of the greatest songs Snoop ever created. The
song was about Snoop's career as an artist. He starts out his song in 1992
when he arrived on The Chronic and he ends in 2000 with the release of
Tha Eastsidaz. The song should be on the album and it never appeared on
the retail version. Another song that didnt appear on the Retail Version
is "Back Up Ho" which you can listen to at the Priority
Records site. The song features Goldie Loc and is one of the dopest
song's that appeared on the Promo album. Other fans think that they might
take a few songs off like "Everywhere I Go" and "Pump Your Brakes." Who
knows if this is actually the official release of the album but a lot of
fans think its not. Either way the album is and will be a classic to rap
fans in 10 years. Snoop Dogg officialy engraves his name with this album.

Tha Last Meal
Is Released On The Net
There is no doubt
that the internet has effected the way music is heard these days. With
mp3's and other forms of music out there artists have become frustated
with what to do and in the end they sue companies like Napster and Scour.
Well one thing that can really frustate an artist is when their album is
released to the net before its release. Well Snoop's album Tha Last Meal
was released to the net just a few days ago and it has been recieving a
tight respone from everyone. I have put a song for you all to listen to
and it is so dope. The track is produced by Dr. Dre and it features Snoop,
Nate Dogg, Tha Eastsidaz and Master P. The song is off the hook. The album
itself is seriously Snoop Dogg at his best. There is one song on the album
that sound's like No Limit's dirty south music. That is kind of a turn
off but the rest of the album is all West Coast music. There are only three
song's from the promo album that appear on the album and all the rest is
brand new unheard material. Xzibit does not make an appearance on the album
and neither does Dre, but he does produce two tracks. Doggy's Angels and
Eve hook up on one of the tightest songs on the album called Ready To Ride.
One thing that might make a few big fans disgruntled is the fact that the
song "No Back Trackin" isnt featured on the album. The mp3 has been available
since the summer and it is one of the most meaningfull tracks Snoop has
ever created. Will it appear on the album? Well we will truly find out
on December 19th. The Tracklist is below and so is the song Lay Low.

Doggy's Angels,
Yall So CrazzzY!
Well Well Well.
Today was the day. Doggy's Angels hit America today and there is no doubt
that they will be overshadowed by the release of The Wu Tang Clan's Album
"The W." I went and picked up my copy of "Pleezbaleevit" and it is so hot!!!
There are so many good songs on the album. First off there is "Baby If
You Ready" which I cant get enough of and then there is the amazing track
"Hoodtrap" which most people know as "Heavy On My Mind" which was on the
Last Meal Promo. Goldie Loc makes an impressive entrance on the track "Cold
Crush Gangsta" which has just the bomb beat. Then there is the song "Curious"
which I let you all hear yesterday. But last but not least there is a song
on their that I felt the minute I heard the beat. Its called "Yac &
Koke" and it is just amazing. I have the song below in Real Audio and I
hope everyone of you get into it. So how does the album compare to "Tha
Eastsidaz?" Well Eastsidaz recieved a warm welcome from most fans but I
believe "Pleezbaleevit" will recieve a much bigger reaction. In fact there
is no doubt that this album will go Platinum and to me, I think this album
is a lot better than "Tha Eastsidaz." The producing on the album is a lot
better. Although I love Goldie Loc a lot and Tray Dee, Doggy's Angels just
got a lot of love from the beats and rhythm that they recieved from Battlecat,
Meech Wells and Fred Wreck. Not to mention that each one of the Angels
can flow. So if yall are wondering if its worth the money. YES IT IS! I
think Snoop is finnaly getting this leader role down and his performance
with them is just amazing. Doggy's Angels gets a big rating of 4 paws out
of 5! Yall Need to buy it now, its worth it. If your one of those people
who dont like women rappers then Im begging you all to peep the album.
I believe you will change your mind. Peep the track below:

Doggy's Angels
- Curious
We have been
waiting nine months for the next release from Doggystyle Records and we
will have one more day before it comes. Tommorow Doggy's Angels is releasing
to the whole world. Their hit single right now is "Baby If You Ready" and
it is super hot. I love that song. But today I have another song for all
you Snoop Dogg fans. Its off the new Doggy's Angels album and its called
Curious
The song is hot. Im not just trying to get you all to buy it, this song
is hot! Nate Dogg makes an appearance at the end of the song which is incredible.
If you have Snoop, Nate Dogg, and three fine women, your going to create
something and in this song they create magic. Behind
The Music
Yesterday on
VH1 the channel premiered thier Behind The Music with a story on the life
of Snoop Dogg. It was incredible. There were a few things they could have
kept a closer eye on, but it was off the hizzzook. It is definetly going
to show again this week so just go to VH1
and search for the listing. Its worth it. 11/17/00
Up In Smoke Clips!
Well I promised
a while back that I would let yall in on the Up In Smoke Tour and Im here
to keep my promise. I have an 8 min song for yall with some of the greatest
moments from the show. The tour stopped in every major city in the nation
and took over Hip Hop in the summer of 2000. So for yall who didnt get
to see it this is for yall. For yall who did get to see it, this will be
a time to sit back and just remember. This song has everything from the
show including the intro seen on the big screen before Snoop and Dre came
out. It has their entrance on stage, to Snoop's classic song "Who Am I"
to the duo's classic "Nuthin But A G Thang." It has the salute to the late
and great Tupac Shakur, to the moment everyone hated then loved when The
Truth came out and sang and then Snoop and Dre came riding out in a Lo
Lo. It has everything you all need from the show. Just sit back grab some
popcorn and soda if you need to and listen to the best show of this year.
Turn your speakers up and drift back to July 9, 2000 in Milwaukee WI.

Wants To Play Games
What makes a
rap star? Is it the number of records they sell? Is it how many times they
appear on TRL? Is it how many girls think they are hot? Of course not but
we all know that the others all influence our decision about them. People
want to hear a tight rapper who can bring controversy and at the same time
keep a clear state. Xzibit knows this. Im sure lately he is being called
a Sell Out now that he has broken the Underground/Mainstream barrier. Other
groups like Jurassic 5 and Dilated People broke the same barrier and to
some of their biggest fans it makes them think about the group. Xzibit
has decided to play a little game with his fans by stating:
"If the only thing
that people pump is one kind of thing, people are going to believe that
that's what they’re supposed to like. If being successful or being dope
has to do with the amount of records you sell, I'll play you a game: I'll
sell a lot and I'll stay who I am. Now the fans have a choice to make."
Sometimes the
hottest rappers change when they hit the mainstream culture because it
can turn your fans against you and change the way they think about the
rap game. Xzibit though understands. He hasnt been the quietest cat in
the game. He made noise in 1996 with "Paparazzi" and later with "What U
See Is What U Get." But Xzibit didnt blow up until his appearance on Snoop's
"No Limit Top Dogg" when he appeared on B Please, a song that became an
instant worldwide hit. Then people started wondering who he was and now
his album is one of the most anticipated for the holidays. Some of his
fans will say he is betraying the Alkoholics and others will say he is
making a great move to cement himself in the game. Thats exactly why he
says:
"Now the fans
have a choice to make." Eminem
Takes Two In Europe
Eminem took home
two MTV Europe Awards Thursday Night in England. Eminem won the "Best Album"
award and Best "Hip Hop" award. After he won Eminem was surprisingly laid
back just saying:
``I worked long
and hard to have this award and I finally got it and I can't tell you what
it means to me.'' 11/16/00
Snoop Thinking
On Another Movie
Snoop is thinking
about working on another movie with aspiring director John Singleton. His
latest work was with Samuel L Jackson on the summer flick, Shaft. Now Singleton
is thinking about getting Big Snoop to work with him on his upcoming movie
"Baby Boy." Other stars in the film are going to be Omar Gooding Jr, who
worked with Singleton on the "Boyz In Tha Hood" film. Tyrese will make
his acting debut too in the film. If Snoop decides to join in the movie
he will play the role as Rodney who is Jody's (Tyrese) girlfriend's ex-boyfriend.
Charlie, Snoop and Nate.
We have another
song for yall called Big
Pimpin and its by Charlie Wilson and it features Snoop and Nate Dogg.
The song is on Wilson's new album, "Bridging The Gap" which released October
17th. Its a slow r & b type song but its cool. Peep it. 11/14/00
Snoop Dogg -
Back Up Ho
Some of you all
wanted to know what the song Back
Up Ho was. The song is going to appear on "Tha Last Meal." In fact
the song was on the promo CD but under a different name. The song was called
"When I Wake Up." If you want to listen to the song you can now listen
to it here. Snoop To
Appear on Ghetto Postage
Snoop is going
to appear on the new Master P album called "Ghetto Postage." He is contributing
to the album by appearing on the song "Poppin Them Collars" which is the
same song as "Pop Your Collar" which was on the Last Meal promo. The only
difference about this song is that it is going to feature Master P too.
So if you liked that song, I guess we can count it off the Last Meal. C-Murder
and Magic will also make appearances on the album. "Ghetto Postage" is
to release November 28th, one week after Doggy's Angels Debut. Snoop's
New Music Never Seen
Yesterday, MTV
was going to have a Lengthy News section on the Last Meal. The news was
going to let listeners listen to new tracks from the Last Meal. This however
never happend. The appearance was to show on the MTV program DFX. During
the show, fans could vote for what news they wanted to hear. They could
either choose Snoop's Last Meal tracks or news on the new movie featuring
Lil Kim, Camron, and Sisqo. The voters chose against the Last Meal and
it was never seen. I believe that was the only chance to see the news and
you will not be able to vote on it again. 11/13/00

Fight Over Snoop Albums
With the success
of Death Row's "Dead Man Walking" album, Priority Records has stepped up
their defense for Snoop. The album, "Dead Man Walking" hit #24 on the Billboard
Charts during its first week and Priority Records knows what they got on
their hands. So Priority has refused to give Radio Stations promotional
and advertising material if they play the first single off the "Dead Man
Walking" album labled "Head Doctor." So radio stations have kept themselves
from playing it but it hasnt kept fans from buying the album. Death Row
executive, Suge Knight knows why fans have been buying the album and he
was quoted saying:
"It's Snoop Dogg
at his best, when he was young and hungry and recording with the Death
Row camp. It's got that street edge that's missing from Snoop today."
So the battle
will continue for now, but expect Last Meal to do a lot better than "Dead
Man Walking." Many fans have boycotted Death Row material or at least Snoop
Dogg material from his Death Row days because Snoop told his fans that
he didnt want them to buy it. But coming December 19th Snoop should have
a happy early Christmas as he releases Last Meal. The album has been anticipated
since July and now that they made an official release date, Look for fans
to flock his way. |
